History Of Frank Dunham Jr. (aka franco)

Born and raised in New York, Frank is the son of proud southern parents both musically inclined, Dad had a band and Mom was a singer. While working corporate companies he had desires to pursue his creative roots. Stepping onto the Poetry Slam Scene he read at various venues such as The Nuyorican Poet's Café, Brooklyn Moon Café and The Harlem Theater but still he wanted to express more. While working for night clubs, he was exposed to dj's and producers of all types of music. He was a writer and vocalist for a few Underground House Labels which led him to performing in Belgium, France and Holland. He returned to the states with an idea to write a play. "Miss Teeky's Cocktail Party" was his first play produced by the Absolute Theatre Company's URBAN FAIRYTALES Festival at the Chelsea Playhouse. Absolute Theatre requested Frank join them for their west coast festival at the Elephant Theatre in West Hollywood that same season. When he returned to New York, with the help and support of Freedom Bradley, Jason Trevits and musician Darrell Nickens, their combined efforts turned out four successful festivals and string of single productions at The Common Basis Theatre, The LindhArt Theatre, The Nuyorican Poet's Café and The Abingdon Theatre. Frank has written, directed and composed over 12 productions and is the Founder & Creative Director of Creative Stages Entertainment.
