Spotlight Cabaret to Feature Wilfert and Winther

Sally Wilfert (Assassins at Studio 54, Make Me a Song) and Michael Winther (B'way's 1776, Mamma Mia!, The Crucible) will join a company of New York's finest to support the Society of Singers Chapter East on Friday, March 28 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 8pm.

The evening, which seeks to showcase the talents of rising performers and writers, will showcase the music and lyrics of Julianne Wick Davis (Wood, Barrington's Disorder) and collaborators, and will feature Cortney Wolfson (YouTube's The Battery's Down, Les Miserables) Jason Michael Snow (upcoming Saved!, Goodspeed Pirates!), Blake Whyte (The Mormon Project, Museum Pieces), and Alysha Umphress (Make Me a Song), with a special performance by Katie Thompson (Rrred the Musical).  The concert is music directed by Carmel Dean (B'way's upcoming Vanities, …Spelling Bee) and directed by Joe Barros (Art. Dir., New York Theatre Barn).

The Spotlight Cabaret series is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and will be seen at the Beechman monthly through May.

The Society of Singers, according to the organization's official website, "benefits the health and welfare of professional singers worldwide and awards scholarships to students pursuing an education in the vocal arts," press notes state. For more information visit www.singers.org.
