Sheri Sanders to Join the Cast of NEWSical The Musical Later This Month

NEWSical The Musical is proud to welcome Sheri Sanders to its core company on Monday, November 17th. Now in its 4th smash year, NEWSical is New York's ever-evolving musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof. Tackling stories ranging from Ebola to Obama to Honey Boo Boo -- nothing and no one in the news is safe!

Sanders joins the current cast which features Christine Pedi (Broadway's Chicago, Sirius Radio "On Broadway"), Michael West (When Pigs Fly, Forbidden Broadway), and Dylan Thompson (Naked Boys Singing). Taylor Crousore and Meg Lanzarone fill out the company as understudies.

Sheri Sanders has appeared on Broadway in Urinetown, Encores! Hair, The national tour of Fame, and most recently as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof at Surflight. Never abandoning her love for the radio, Sheri tapped into the ever changing state of Musical Theatre, realized that her greatest love was finding its way onto the Broadway stage, film and television, and now pioneers as the only person to bridge those gaps. Sheri piloted her masterclass, ROCK THE AUDITION, at Pace University, and since then has taught with Penn State, Syracuse University, Boston Conservatory, Berklee, Wagner, and more. Sheri is also the author of "ROCK THE AUDITION" published by Hal Leonard.

NEWSical is produced by Tom D'Angora -- he along with the show's creators most recently were featured on The OWN Network's hit reality show "Life With La Toya" which chronicaled La Toya Jackson's guest starring role in NEWSical. Previous guest stars have included Real Housewives Kandi Burruss, Cheri Oteri, Jackee, Carson Kressley, Andrea McArdle, and gossip guru Perez Hilton. NEWSical was created by and written by Rick Crom (Urinetown) with direction by Mark Waldrop (When Pigs Fly, My Deah, Papermill Playhouse's Gypsy) and music direction by Ed Goldschneider, and is stage managed by Krystal Roccaro.

NEWSical The Musical plays at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Show times are Monday 8:15pm, Tuesday 8:15pm, Thursday 8:15pm,Friday 8:15pm, Saturday 3pm & 8:15pm, Sunday 3pm & 7:30pm.
