Nella Vera Hired As Marketing Director Of The Public Theater

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced today that they have hired Nella Vera as Marketing Director. Vera is currently the Associate Director of Marketing at Center Theater Group in Los Angeles and was previously the Director of Marketing at Signature Theatre Company in New York. She will assume her new position at The Public on Monday, May 18.

"We are thrilled that Nella will be joining our Senior Management team," said Public Theater Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson. "She has a passion for The Public's mission from her earliest days in theater. She brings extensive experience in community and audience development as well as a proven track record in generating ticket sales and using new media. She is a tremendous addition to this institution."

NELLA VERA began her career at The Public as an intern in the General Management office. She is the current Associate Director of Marketing at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles where she oversees the day to day operations of the marketing department, as well as audience development and promotions for the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum and Kirk Douglas Theatre. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Marketing for New York's award-winning Signature Theatre Company, Director of Development for New York Stage and Film and as Associate Producer of The Flea Theater in downtown Manhattan. As a Marketing Executive for FourFront Press and Marketing, Vera was represented on Broadway by The Public's Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk and On The Town; Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King; Chicago; and John Leguizamo's Freak, among others. She holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MFA in Theatre Management from Columbia University.
