Kevin Brown of '30 Rock' to Star in 'Die Laughing'

Kevin Brown, AKA Uptown Kevin Brown, of NBC's 30 "Rock" signed with Diversity Players of Harlem to star in the stage play Die Laughing by Marq Overton. Scheduled for previews on April 15 & 16 and opening on April 17 at the world famous Laugh Factory Times Square (669 8th Ave, between 42nd & 43rd St).Tickets will be available starting February 20, 2008 at the Laugh Factory box office, www.telecharge.com or by calling 212-239- 6200.

As a cast member of NBC's "30 Rock," Kevin Brown can be seen week to week playing Dot-Com, along side cast members Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan. Kevin is a co-founder of Uptown Comedy Club, a comedy platform that led to discoveries of such artists as Mike Epps, Flex Alexander, and Die Laughing playwright, Marq Overton. Kevin's other television credits include appearances on BET's "Comic View," MTV's "Human Giant," and NBC's "Last Comic Standing." His film credits include appearances in Get Rich or Die Tryin' with 50 Cent, and also Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with Lindsay Lohan.

In Die Laughing, Kevin will play Michael Laurence, "a struggling but very talented misogynistic comedian, on the threshold of the biggest break of his career when he is forced to take a serious look at his life after being stricken with Male Breast Cancer."
