To kick off Women's History Month, FunikiJam Music's SHENANIGANS: Irish Celebration opens Off-Broadway on March 3rd, starring Ashton Parrack as FunikiJam Music's first female Captain Jam, Super Hero lead.

"I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am to be the first woman playing the legendary Captain Jam! There is something special about playing a super hero. My hope is that the role can be an inspiration to young girls to be the best they can be. I am thank- ful for the strong women that have made me into who I am today, and I want to encourage young women that they can achieve ANYTHING!! " - Ashton Parrack.

About FunikiJam's SHENANIGANS! Irish Celebration: Set in modern day New York City at a Secret Training Facility for the Agents of Jam, FunikiJam Music's SHENANIGANS! Irish Celebration is a brand new production of the popular musical named a "best St. Patrick's Day event for kids" by TimeOut NY and a NY TIMES pick for "things to do with your children this weekend." The sparkling new production follows the journey of Agent Melody as she becomes one of the world's most beloved musical super heroes by leading her trusted Agents of Jam and their "new recruits' on a Special St Patrick's Day Mission. Along the way she encounters banshees, unicorns, rainbows, lucky pots of gold and Irish Step Dancers who help her put a new spin on Irish lore with lively music, singing, laughing and dancing to the Shamrock Beat.

The show stars Ashton Parrack as Agent Melody/Captain Jam, Juan Espinal as Agent Bongo from Domini- can Republic, and Andrea Galata as Agent Sbrexy from Italy with Dancers from the Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance and a live fiddler.

FunikiJam Music's SHENANIGANS! Irish Celebration is produced, directed and choreographed by Brian Bar- rentine. Production designer is Maarten Cornelis. Music Director is Ryan McCurdy. David Gabriel and Vicky Aguero are associate producers. Meg Doherty is assistant director/choreographer. The score and book are by Brian Barrentine. By expanding our music classes, parties, and live shows to international markets and digital platforms, we are putting audiences directly into our origi- nal musical storytelling that celebrates diversity and global community. I can't think of a better way to cele- brate Women's History Month than by casting Ashton Parrack as the first woman to play Captain Jam inSHENANIGANS! Irish Celebration - our popular St. Patrick's Day Family Musical."
