Brazilian artist Daniela Galli will be a guest performer in THE OTHER MOZART Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre, October 6-9, 2016.

Created by Sylvia Milo, the monodrama is set in a stunning 18-foot dress (designed by Magdalena Dabrowska from the National Theater of Poland). Directed by Isaac James Byrne, THE OTHER MOZART is based on facts, stories and lines pulled directly from the Mozart family's humorous and heartbreaking letters.

Along with music composed by her famous brother and Marianna Martines (a female composer who inspired Nannerl), original music was written for the play by Nathan Davis and Phyllis Chen (of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, the International Contemporary Ensemble and BAM) for the instruments Nannerl knew intimately, such as clavichords, music boxes, and bells, as well as teacups, fans, and other ordinary objects that might have captured her imagination.

Period style movement directed by Janice Orlandi creates a world of opulence and elegance through articulate delicacy of expressive balletic gestures, reverent court bows, and fan language

DANIELA GALLI began her artistic path through dance and music in her native Brazil. She was a member of modern and tap dance companies and played the oboe at the Symphonic Orchestra of Campinas. She later graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning and worked as a set designer off-Broadway and as an associate designer to Tony Walton on Broadway. She studied acting at HB Studios and since 2006 is back in Brazil acting in theatre, film and television. Recent credits include: FILM - The BounTy Hunter , a Netflix original film by Marcelo Galvão (to be released in 2017), My Hindu Friend, directed by Hector Babenco, opposite Willem Dafoe, The American Side, by Jenna Ricker, starring Greg Stuhr and Matthew Broderick, Chlorine, by Marcelo Gabrowsky, Tragédia da Rua das Flores, directed by Ivan Zettel; THEATRE - Ciranda, by Celia Forte and directed by José Possi Neto, Realismo, by Anthony Neilson and directed by Tato Consorti, PLAY, by Rodrigo Nogueira and directed by Ivan Sugahara; TELEVISION - Plano Alto (nominated to Contigo Award for best actress in a TV series), Mandrake (HBO) and other series for TV Globo and Record.
