Spain's internationally acclaimed, multi award-winning comedy theater troupe Yllana (ee - YA - na) will make its long awaited Off-Broadway debut when Psycoductions (Juan Urrutia, Producer), with Executive Producer Aldo Scrofani, present 666, Yllana's dirtiest and most demented show ever. Following its smash hit, jaw-dropping, sometimes cringe-inducing, and altogether gut-bustingly funny run at New York's Fringe Festival last summer, 666 will begin performances at Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theater (18 Minetta Lane, NYC) on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, for an extended run.
The show will officially open on Thursday, April 15.

666 begins when three dangerous criminals (Fidel Fernandez, Joseph Michael O'Courneen and Juan Francisco Ramos Toro) and one misplaced innocent (Raul Cano) arrive on death row. Incarceration ironically sets free their wildest fantasies as, trapped between the iron gates and an electrified fence, they interact with each other and with the audience. At the end of all the comically bungled executions, all hell, quite literally, breaks out. No one is safe, least of all the audience! 666 is a rude and ribald collision between wordless Commedia dell'arte, physical theater, and slapstick.

One of Europe's most talked about and acclaimed comedy theater troupes, Yllana has played throughout the world, and in their native Spain where their year-round theater, The Alfil, presents the company's many original works (666 has been a popular sold-out attraction at the Madrid venue for over 10 years). Yllana was born in 1991 as a physical comedy theatre company. Through gestures, sounds and genuine slapstick, Yllana creates its work out of the most common situations of everyday life, combining huge energy with wit and risk. The company is renowned for its irreverent, often outrageous, sense of humor. Through onomatopoeic sounds and gesture, the company creates surreal and delirious worlds where anything can happen. From the troupe's first experience on the stage, it has produced sixteen popular shows, many of which are still performed in repertory: ¡Muu! (1991), Glub, Glub (1994), 666 (1998), Hipo (1999), Rock & Clown (2000), Spingo (2001), Splash! (2002), Star Trip (2003), The Best Sketches of the Monty Python (2004), Olimplaff (2004), The Bald Prima Donna (2005) Buuu (2006) Pagagnini (2007), Musicall (2007) Brokers (2008) and Zoo (2009). These productions have been performed in 31 countries for nearly a million spectators.

The performance schedule for 666 is as follows: Tuesday-Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm & 7pm. During the preview performances between March 30th - April 11th, tickets are priced at $25. Starting on April 13th tickets will range from $20 - $66.66. Tickets may be purchased online at www.Ticketmaster.com, by phone at (212) 307-4100, or in person at the Minetta Lane Theater Box Office (18 Minetta Lane, NYC).
