Chad Doreck of 'You're The One That I Want' Joins Altar Boyz

Chad Doreck, labeled 'Ambitious Danny' during his stint on the reality show "Grease: You're the One that I Want," will join the cast of Altar Boyz, the acclaimed musical comedy at New World Stages, taking over the role of Matthew beginning September 3.  He replaces Matthew Buckner.

Doreck was one of the top 14 contestants on the "Grease: You're the One that I Want!" the TV reality show where the leads for the current Broadway revival of Grease were chosen. On February 25, he was in the bottom four but the judges chose to save Doreck, making him one of the top four males competing for the lead role of Danny Zuko.  Doreck is also the voice of Crackle for Rice Krispies.

Altar Boyz also features Landon Beard, Jay Garcia, Ryan J. Ratliff and Ryan Strand, and is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. Altar Boyz has music & lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.
