THE HEAVENLY PLAIDS ARE BACK IN A BRAND NEW SHOW! For the first time in New York, our favorite foursome returns to put on yet another posthumous performance to bring harmony to our troubled world (they get to sing with Perry Como-on stage!), with a holiday special, PLAID TIDINGS. They are bringing back holiday classics with a Forever Plaid twist-such as "Jingle Bells," "'Twuz the Night B4...," and "The Dreidel Song"-while filling the night with general hilarity. Sprinkled among their holiday offerings are audience favorites like their riotous three-minute version of "The Ed Sullivan Show"-this time featuring the Rockettes, the Chipmunks, and the Vienna Boys Choir-and a Plaid Caribbean Christmas which puts the "Day-O" in "Excelsis!" Originally produced and written for The Pasadena Playhouse.
The creative team includes James Morgan (set), Michael Magliola (lights), AJ Mattioli (Production Manager), Mark Martino (Consultant), with Meg Friedman (Production Stage Manager) and David Beller (Assistant Stage Manager).
PLAID TIDINGS will play the following performance schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Please note, there are two special added performances: Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) at 4:00 p.m. that will include a pre-show reception, holiday cocktails and merriment; and Sunday evening, December 27 at 7:00 p.m. There is no performance on Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day).

The York Theatre Company is the only theater in New York City-and one of very few in the world-dedicated to developing and fully producing new musicals and preserving neglected, notable shows from the past. For over four decades, York's intimate, imaginative style of producing both original and classic musicals has resulted in critical acclaim and recognition from artists and audiences alike. Under the guidance of Producing Artistic Director James Morgan since 1997, the York has focused on new musicals in its Mainstage Series-most of them world, American, or New York premieres-by some of the field's most esteemed creators, and has also helped launch the careers of many talented new writers. Over 35 cast recordings from York Theatre Company productions are now available on CD, including its acclaimed revival of Closer Than Ever (2013 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Revival); commercial transfers of such York premieres as The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), Souvenir (Tony Award Nomination for actress Judy Kaye), and Jolson & Company, and revivals of Pacific Overtures and Sweeney Todd (four Tony Nominations including Best Revival) have all showcased the importance of the York and its programs.
