After selling out two engagments in July and August, John Hill will return with his one-man show Whiskers on Kittens. The Hairspray star will perform the show--"a combination of the absurd and Spalding Gray"--at Makor (35 W. 67th St.) on September 22nd at 8 PM.

Presented by Sabrina Gordin, directed by Matt Logan and featuring musical direction by Jonah Speidel, the show is "a magical and majestical jaunt filled with laughs and tears...A show for all seasons, a show for all ages, a show that will make his mom very, very disappointed. The man who was called 'somewhat convincing' by the New York Times and 'hunky' by the New York Post returns to the New York stage with a vigor, passion, and a dedication to his fanbase that may or may not exist," states a rather tongue-in-cheek press article. "It takes a certain amount of brilliance to be that touched in the head and unashamed to share the fruits of the absurdity that is your brain function." The show is "mixed with appropriate songs when necesarry."

Hill's fanbase would know him for originating the roles of Jason in Bare, Mark Herron in The Boy from Oz and Fender in Hairspray (he also performed the role of Link Larkin several times). Hill also appeared in a national touring company of Miss Saigon.

Tickets for Whiskers on Kittens
