Oslo Philharmonic: Saint-Saëns/ Aadland/ Mørk at Oslo Konserthus

To this first of three productions has chosen the Truls Mørk French and classical inspired Saint-Saëns. The first cellokonserten was his most played and standard repertoire for all later cellists. Our previous Norwegian conductor Eivind Aadland offers later on a weighty finish Brahms. That the second Symphony cost him much less anguish than the first, clearly shines through in the music's lyrical lynne and at times real Joie de vivre.
