VIDEO: Wolfbane Productions Presents HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

By:

Wolfbane Productions produces Broadway's favorite "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig and the Angry Inch now August 11 in Appomattox. Wolfbane, in association with Jamerson Building Supply and Williams Collision Center, is proud to be hosting this incredible concert outdoors at the Wolfbane Performing Arts Center, 618 Country Club Rd, Appomattox, VA 24522. Gates open at 7pm; the show will begin at 8pm. See what happens when this genre-bending, fourth-wall-smashing musical sensation meets a new setting in the Central Virginia backcountry, as it tells the story of one of the most unique characters ever to hit the stage.

Check out video of the cast talking about the show below!

Brilliantly innovative, heartbreaking, and wickedly funny, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" is the landmark musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask and will star veteran performers, Paul Saylor in the title role and Erin Maya as Yitzhak. Rounding out the company are Hedwig's band- Troy Mearkle, Gregory Robey, Aaron Vaders-Collins, Seth Westgate, and Emily Gur. The creative team features Wolfbane's Artistic Director, Dustin Williams (direction, musical staging), Christine Yepsen (production stage management, scenic design), Rebecca Myrie (costume design), Scott Chapman (lighting design), Matt Densky (hair design), Hannah Jennings (make-up design), Holly Phelps (sound design), and Troy Mearkle (music director). The recent Tony Award-winning, record-breaking revival ran for over 500 performances at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway. The Grammy nominated Original Broadway Cast Album is available from Atlantic Records.

As an added bonus, Wolfbane will host three themed nights during the run of the show. First up, Industry Night! We'll show you ours if you show us yours-bring a playbill from the past year with your name in it to the box office on Thursday, July 26th for 20% off your ticket! Next, the Sunday performances on July 29 and August 5 are drag royalty nights-for our Kings, Queens, and everything in betweens. Come dressed to impress for a chance to walk the runway and win fun prizes!

For tickets and additional information, please call the Wolfbane box office at 434-579-3542 or email boxoffice@wolfbane.org. General admission tickets: $25, student, senior (60+), and military: $20. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the venue (must be 21+). No outside food or drink permitted. Visit us at www.wolfbane.org.
