McLean Community Center Announces Upcoming Events

The McLean Community Center has announced its upcoming events for the next two weeks. This series kicks off with Summer Swing Dance

Friday, June 4
7-8 p.m. Complimentary dance instruction offered
by Fred Astaire Studios
8-11 p.m. Dance
$25 per person/$15 McLean district residents

Join us for an enjoyable evening of dancing. Live music will be provided by For Dancers Only, of Winchester, Virginia.

Bring the whole family for a finger-snapping, toe-tapping good time! Appetizers will be served. Wine and other beverages will be available for purchase.

The Sippy Cups will present their spectacular live show, which includes such wonders as giant balloons, confetti cannons, aerialists and costumed characters bringing the songs to vivid, colorful life.

The Old Firehouse Teen Center invites all rising 7th graders and all other middle schoolers to join the fun at this special Friday Night Dance! Dance the night away as our disc jockey cranks out the tunes. Fill up on Chipotle's Burrito Bowls to revive yourself after all that dancing. Then, grab your friends and get a customized Green Screen Photo taken using your favorite background.

Register at the Old Firehouse, McLean Community Center, or online. The dance is limited to the first 200 registrants. Register in advance to make sure you don't miss the fun!

"FlorIda Days"

This original play by Rachel Bail chronicles the trials of a Northern family trying to adapt to Southern ways. The McLean Drama Company's 10-minute play contest winner, "Visiting Anna" by Michaeline A. Sweeney, will be presented after the June 13 performance of "FlorIda Days."
