Wayside Foundation for the Arts President, Jim Wink and Artistic Director, Warner Crocker, presented the 2010 LEO Awards to persons who are significant in their support of Wayside Theatre.

The Leo Awards was established in 2001 by the Board of Directors of the Wayside Foundation for the Arts. The awards are presented by the Board of Directors to persons who have a passion for the theatre and its programs, and who have demonstrated those attributes over an extended period of time. A LEO winner may be young or old, an individual, or may be an organization or a business. The medallion presented to each recipient is cast in pewter with a cut-out of the theatre and engraved on the back with the date, the name of the person/organization, and a statement of thanks from Wayside Theatre. Each awardee also receives a framed plaque commemorating the event.

The 2010 Leo Award recipients are: Judy Paige Grim and Susanne Blount.

Judy Paige Grim has been a major supporter of the Arts in the Winchester and Frederick County community for decades. She began as a volunteer under Artistic Director, Gerald Slavet in 1967 and was an active member of the Beau Geste volunteer committee that later became P.R.O.P.S.

Judy Paige served on the Board of Directors for Wayside Foundation for the Arts from 2003-2009. She served as Member at Large on the Executive Committee. Judy Paige is still an active member of P.R.O.P.S., a volunteer organization which is a theatre support group for Wayside Theatre. She helps usher for performances, and you can occasionally see her digging in our flower gardens out front or working on the back yard. Judy has helped over the years with galas, mailings, ushering, fundraising, donations, providing Tech rehearsal dinners and landscaping of the facility, as well as introducing countless new audience members to Wayside Theatre. Judy Paige Grim just retired as manager of the BB & T-Middletown Branch Bank. Judy Paige is married to Eddie Grim.

Susanne Blount served as a Board Member from 2005-2008. She was active in fundraising for Wayside Theatre and the Education in Action programs and continues with her support of Wayside Theatre. In addition to being active in fundraising activities like galas and special events, she and her husband, David (a former Leo Award Winner), were major contributors to the Wayside Theatre Renovation and Expansion. Susanne served on the Comprehensive Campaign Committee for that project. Susanne has a deep commitment to the Arts and education. Susanne is married to David Blount and has three daughters.
