On Saturday, June 5th, Fatty Lumpkin and the Love Hogs perform their own brand of classic rock and roll at Theater at Lime Kiln. The group, once a Lexington staple, has performed to enthusiastic crowds at Lime Kiln the last two years. Local band Honest Scoundrels will open the evening at 6:30pm.

Fatty Lumpkin consists of Michael George on lead vocals and guitar, Ray Cohen on percussion and harmonica, Greg Montgomery on bass guitar, Lance Foster on drums and John Vita on lead guitar and vocals. Since last year's show, the band has added David Bernard on keyboards. David has played in numerous bands over the years and shares the band members love of classic rock and blues. This will be his first time playing at Lime Kiln, and both he and the crowd will be in for a treat.

The band was extremely popular in the 1990's and played both in this area and throughout the state. Whether it was songs by Eric Clapton, Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy or Stevie Ray Vaughn, the band always brought the crowd to their feet. This year they also plan toray perform hits by B. B. King, The James Gang, Blues Traveler and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, among other big name artists.

The Honest Scoundrels is an electrifying four-piece band from Lexington, who have been building their fan base at music festivals, college parties, clubs and private parties. After studying and honing their individual talents, they found their way home, where they have burned their musical styles into the regional music scene of Western Virginia. After completing their first EP "Made From Scratch", the band immediately began work on their first full length album to be released this summer. The band continues to electrify audiences with well- written originals and tasteful covers. Influenced by great acts such as Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, the Beatles, Dylan, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers and many others, this band brings a hard-driving, rock ‘n' roll sound with haunting melodies and soul-wrenching blues.
