Local favorite Dave Eggar is returning to Barter Theatre's Gilliam Stage this year in a one-night event composed just for the venue.

"Tappalachia: The Story of Madison and Her Magic Shoes" will grace the stage on July 23 at 7:30 p.m., with tickets at $10 and $20.

"Tappalachia" tells the story of Madison's wild adventure of clogging, tapping and break-dancing with a musical trip around the world as she finds the key to her dream of being a dancer.

Eggar plans to highlight the country and Bluegrass style music that is considered by many to be the heart of the region, while adding genres popular the world over.

Eggar will be joined by Holler Jake; international opera sensation Sasha Lazard, BBOY KamAl Davis, Sensei Destiny Vergara, Andrew Nemr, and Wise County native and aspiring performer Madison Lawson, who has been a part of several Barter Theatre performances. Holler Jake includes drummer Chuck Palmer, bass player Ariel DLP, guitar player Phil Faconti, and singers Nikki Guerra and Jake Blaine.

Corporate sponsors, Atmos Energy and Brown Edwards, make "Tappalachia: The Story of Madison and Her Magic Shoes" possible at Barter Theatre.

Be sure to get your tickets to upcoming Barter Theatre productions, with tickets for every show starting at $20. Call the Barter Theatre Box Office at 276-628-3991 for more information.
