The Reedy Point Players, LTD. are proud to announce auditions for THE OUTSIDERS, directed by Erin Miller, written by S.E. Hinton, adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel. Produced by special arrangement with
THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.
We are looking for several males between the ages of 12 and 25. We also need a few females between the ages of 15 and 25. There are also a select minor adult roles (male and female) that are needed to be filled. If you are not in the age requirement, but still look like the ages we are looking for, we urge you to come out and audition.
Audition dates will be on Sunday, February 23 at 1pm and Monday, February 24 at 6pm and will be held at the Delaware City Library, 250 Fifth Street, Delaware City, DE, 19706. All auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No preparation necessary. Headshot and resume are acceptable, but not required. The director would like all who audition to be familiar with the book.
Performance dates for THE OUTSIDERS will be on May 2, 3, and 4.
The Reedy Point Players, LTD. are a community theatre group located in Delaware City, DE. Founded in 2001, the Reedy Point Players started out on a makeshift stage in Delaware City’s (former) Port of History Center with the production of Spoon River Anthology. A few years later, they found their “home” at the Delaware City Community Center. By January 2007, the comapny was incorporated. Most recently have been certified as a 501(c)(3) with the IRS. They have participated in Delaware Theatre Association Festival and the Eastern States Theatre Association Festival, which resulted in a few awards along the way. They continue to deliver captivating performances, performing original and published works!
