TALK RADIO
Written by: Eric Bogosian
Directed by Morrie Piersol
January 10th – 26th, 2019

5th Wall Theatre will hold open auditions for Eric Bogosian’s TALK RADIO on Sunday, September 9th from 7-10 at HI Richmond Hostel, 7 North 2nd Street. Callbacks will be September 11th. The production will be directed by Morrie Piersol and will feature Scott Wichmann as Barry Champlain. The production will begin rehearsal December 2. Actors must be available for daytime rehearsals. Performances will be at The Basement January 10th – January 26th.

Synopsis

Barry Champlain, Cleveland’s controversial radio host, is on the air doing what he does best: insulting the pathetic souls who call in the middle of the night to sound off. Tomorrow, Barry’s show is going into national syndication and his producer is afraid that Barry will say something that will offend the sponsors. This, of course, makes Barry even more outrageous.

“A compelling work that draws you straight into the heart of its fringe world. It makes the call in show a metaphor for America’s lost souls.” –New York Newsday
