NOT AN ATTRACTIVE FELLOW - Union League Club Philadelphia Non Equity Auditions
Union League Club Philadelphia
Black actor to play Captain Edward Marshall in a 50 minute excerpt of a new play about Teddy Roosevelt and Churchill meeting for the first time over dinner in 1900. Captain Marshall is an integral character, both as Roosevelt's aide and he also guides the audience through the evening. The actor plays Marshall in 1900 aged 30s/40s and also older in World War II.
He is Roosevelt's aide-de-camp/ confidential personal assistant. He has fought at Roosevelt’s side, and knows him exceptionally well. Roosevelt trusts Marshall’s views on most things, including Churchill. He does serve drinks/dinner to Churchill and Roosevelt, but is not considered a servant. Marshall is a man of integrity and practicality; he has ‘gravitas’ and is perceptive, and has a sly sense of humor.
There will be one performance on October 16th, at 2PM.
This performance will be presented at the annual International Churchill Society Conference and will be in Philadelphia at the Union-League Club.
