AUDITIONS FOR

LOOPED – A COMEDY BY MATTHEW LOMBARDO

DIRECTED BY SPENCER HANKINS

When: 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2026 – Readings from the script. Plan to arrive no later than 3:00 pm. If needed, callbacks will be held at a time to be determined. If you have any questions, email artistic@carpentersquare.com.

Where: At the theatre, located at 1009 W. Reno. Parking is free on the street. Do not use the parking lot for The Horn Trader on the northeast corner of Western & Reno. You may park on ramps in front of garage doors on Reno and the Sweis’ Greek Café parking lot at Reno & Western.

What: Bring a recent photo and theatrical résumé. Be prepared to list any definite or possible conflicts on your audition form from March 16th through the run of the play May 22-June 7, 2026.

Please read the script before auditions! Hard copy perusal scripts are available to check out, as well as sides that will be used at auditions. Call CST at 405-232-6500 or email business@carpentersquare.com to make arrangements to check out a script. Call or contact us in the office before dropping by.

Performance dates: May 22-June 7, 2026.

Specific dates are: 10 performances over 3 weekends: May 22-23, 28-31, June 4-7. There will be a brush-up rehearsal and archive photos on May 21. Most rehearsals are scheduled Mon-Fri at 7 p.m. with Saturday or Sunday rehearsals scheduled only if needed to accommodate week-night conflicts. 1st tech is the afternoon/early evening of Sunday, May 17.

CAST OVERVIEW: 2 men, 1 woman

Tallulah Bankhead (60s) an actress mostly known for her outrageous behavior and raunchy wit. Her grand persona shields her increasing insecurities, because her career has been on the downswing for some time.

THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST: Danny Miller (late 30s) a film editor.

Steve (late 30s–mid 40s) A sound engineer who is a blue collar union worker.

SYNOPSIS:

LOOPED depicts an actual 1965 recording session in which an intoxicated Tallulah Bankhead required eight hours to re-record (or “loop”) a single line from her final movie Die! Die! My Darling! while antagonizing the film editor assigned to the job.
