Rivertown Theaters to Announce 2015-16 Season at Jan 9 Fundraiser
The public is invited to come show their support for and join Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts for their only annual Season Announcement Party & Fundraiser on Friday, January 9, 2015 where they will be the first to learn the ambitious and exciting line-up for the 2015-2016 season.
This year's event promises to be better than ever! The evening begins at 7pm with a wine, beer and light hors d'oeuvres reception followed by announcements of the 2015-2016 productions and lots of entertainment, including musical numbers from the announced shows, and a sneak-peek performance from the upcoming Will Rogers Follies. The night also boasts a Live Auction for guests to bid on a variety of unique packages for theatrical experiences, hotel stays, restaurant certificates and special items generously donated from area businesses. The evening closes out with desserts and spirits under heated tents in the courtyard.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $30, on sale now. Tickets are $35 at the door. Proceeds from the evening will go directly to support Rivertown Theaters.
"Like our productions, the party this year will be a real show-stopper," said Kelly Fouchi, co- artistic director. "Rivertown Theaters needs the general public's help more than ever. The critics continue to be unanimous in their high praise and glowing reviews for the quality of our shows. But we could not accomplish this level of professionalism without the support of the general public. We rely on private company and individual sponsorships, ticket sales and season subscriptions to help us continue bringing "best of Broadway" shows and locally-written productions to the New Orleans area."
