Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had the courage to be absolute nobodies?Because we don't: WHAM!It's 1989. In East Berlin, American journalist Morgan Conway urges his friend, dissident Frank Mueller, to go march for democracy and an end to the Stasi, the secret police.Frank marches, the Stasi smash his knee, Morgan gets THAT photo. Its publication incites more protests. The world shakes. The Wall falls.Months later, the two reunite before a Fete which will honor what they did. But do they deserve the honors? Frank did no more than any of the other one hundred thousand marchers, and Morgan just took a photo. Besides, they failed. They wanted democratic socialism.. They got capitalism.Examining what actually happened that day, they uncover Stasis, and Nazis. Maybe they should have stayed home. Maybe they should have heeded Salinger. I'm sick, sick, sick, of everyone who wants to get somewhere, do something. They might still be friends.
