Seacoast Rep Presents ROOMS: A Rock Romance 9/10-10/3

Seacoast Repertory Theatre will open's its 2010 - 2011 season with the regional premiere of the new musical Rooms: A Rock Romance. Music, lyrics by Paul Scott Goodman book by Paul Scott Goodman and Miriam Goodman. This hot hit musical wowed audiences and critics alike at the New York Musical Theater Festival and is sure to do the same here on the Seacoast when it plays on the Rep stage at the September 10 - October 3 2010. ROOMS: A Rock Romance begins in late 1970's Glasgow where Monica, an ambitious singer/songwriter meets Ian, a reclusive rocker. The two quickly become entangled creatively and romantically. Their music takes them first to London and ultimately to New York City, where they discover the vibrant new music scene and create an intimate partnership, their love deepening while their personalities drive them apart. A five-piece rock band accompanies these two characters as they search for the balance between ambition and happiness.

Two performing powerhouses that thrilled audiences this summer in RENT and ALL SHOOK UP return to the Rep stage - Christine Dulong will play the role of Monica P. Miller opposite Graham Bailey as Ian Wallace. This dynamic duo is sure to have audiences on their feet for a "STANDING O" every night! The Rep's creative team for ROOMS: A Rock Romance includes the Rep's Artistic Director Craig J. ROOMS: A Rock Romance is generously sponsored by Portsmouth Computer Group and RAM Printing and plays on the Rep stage September 10 - October 3, 2010.
