Palace Theatre Holds Second Annual 'Table Talk' Fundraiser

By: Mar. 12, 2010

The Palace Theatre held an innovative fundraising event on March 5th at the Derryfield Ballroom that gave businesses in the greater Manchester area the opportunity to showcase their creative talents, enjoy a night out and network with other businesses. For the second year in a row, the "Table Talk" event consisted of 20 creatively and individually designed tables. Businesses were challenged to pick a "theme" and decorate their sponsored tables accordingly. Attendees were also invited to bid on several live auction items and treated to entertainment by Michayla Lupien, Palace Theatre Teen Company.

"Table Talk provides a venue that helps local businesses foster new relationships with companies that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to network with and inspires attendees to continue to explore their own creativity and involvement with the Arts," said Emily Shakra, Palace Theatre Trustee and Committee Co-Chair.

The top table of the event was chosen by New Hampshire Magazine to be featured in the May issue. The winning tables were Apotheca Flowers and Tea Chest and Bedford Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry and the top tables selected by the group belonged to Upstairs Downstairs Interior Design and Kriss Cosmetics.

More than 25 local organizations participated in the event: Palace Theatre, Apotheca Flowers and Tea Chest, Eden Restaurant and Lounge, Stebbins Commercial Properties Inc., Devine Millimet, Mount Saint Mary Academy, Bellwether Community Credit Union, Granite State College, Savoir Faire Marketing/Communications, Bedford Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, Ashley Christopher Salon, Arbors of Bedford, Jazz Personal Management, Shop Estella, Rheault Photographers, Kriss Cosmetics, Sweet Cierra's, Absolute Fitness and Rehab, T-Bones Great American Eatery, Upstairs Downstairs Interior Design, The River - WXRV 92.5, The Manchester Radio Group, Karma Cigar and Hookah, Southern New Hampshire University, Horizon Beverages, Due Torrie Wines and Halle Oil.
All proceeds from the evening's events went to support the Palace Youth Theatre and its Performing Arts Youth Programs, which have become an integral part of the historic Palace Theatre. Thanks to the time, talent and generosity of its supporters, the Palace Theatre is able to offer financial aid, scholarships, and welcome in more than 30,000 children to experience the magic of live theatre each year.
