New Hampshire Theatre Project Launches Teen 'Tech Troupe' and 'Playwright's Lab'

Are you serious about learning the craft of design (lighting, scenic, sound, costumes), or writing for the stage? Then NHTP's Tech Troupe and Playwright's Lab are for you!
The NHTP Tech Troupe will explore all aspects of stagecraft and theatrical design including lighting, scenic design, sound, costumes and stage management. Participants will offer technical support for all Youth Repertory Company productions. Some participants may also have the opportunity to work on NHTP Main Stage productions. Attendance at all workshops, master classes, rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Although some conflicts can be accommodated with advance notice, The NHTP Tech Troupe is a commitment that requires priority.
FALL SESSION (October 17-November 28, 2017) - The NHTP Tech Troupe will meet on Tuesdays, 5:00-6:45 pm, and provide technical support for Youth Repertory Company Scene Study showcase performances on December 1-3, 2017. Tech rehearsals November 28-30, 2017.
The Playwright's Lab, now in its second year, offers young writers the opportunity to tackle the craft of writing for theatre, in a supportive and challenging environment. This young writers group focuses on the creation of new works for the stage, though collaborative critique and technical skill building. Attendance at all workshops, master classes, rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Although some conflicts can be accommodated with advance notice, The Playwright's Lab is a commitment that requires priority. Students are encouraged to learn about all aspects of writing classical, modern and experimental texts for theatre performance. Students will work as individuals, and in small and large groups to develop their writing; Playwright's Lab participants will also showcase their work along with the Youth Repertory Company performers.
