NHTP Seeks Playwrights For Works Festival 7/10-11

By: May. 09, 2010

Attention New England Playwrights! New Hampshire Theatre Project in Portsmouth, NH seeks short works for their annual New Works Festival, held July 10-11, 2010. Short one-acts or scenes (5-20 minutes) with 2-6 characters are preferred. No monologues, please. Students from NHTP's Summer Adult Performance Intensive will use your writing to advance their understanding of the dramatic arts and apply what they learn in performing your play. Playwrights are invited to attend the July 11 performance at 2 pm, and participate in talk-backs after the show. We can offer no remuneration but the joy of seeing your writing come to life onstage, a sense of community with your fellow artists and a great opportunity to build a relationship with a producing organization. Submissions should be postmarked no later than May 21. Please remember to include a telephone or email address so we can contact you. Playwrights chosen to participate will be notified by June 1st. You may submit your script(s) by post or email: Attn: New Works FestivalNew Hampshire Theatre Project959 Islington StreetPortsmouth NH 03801 Send electronic submissions in care of Robert Macadaeg at rjmacadaeg@yahoo.com
