Local Actors to Take the Leap in Players' RIPCORD The final show of the Peterborough Players 2nd Annual Winter Season is the New Hampshire Premiere of Ripcord, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize-Winning playwright, David Lindsay-Abaire.

The cast of Ripcord is comprised of a multitude of New Hampshire based professional actors, including Bridget Beirne (Constellations, Outside Mulligar), Lisa Bostnar (Annapurna, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Will Howell (The Whipping Man, Sherlock), and Kathy Manfre (Steel Magnolias, Stella & Lou). They are joined by Alabama native and former Players Second Company Member, Cory Buffaloe (Arsenic and Old Lace, James and the Giant Peach) and New Hampshire resident and Players Technical Director, Tyler Richardson who is making his Players stage debut.

Directed by Players' Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen, Ripcord tells the tale of two women engaged in a hilarious struggle over a sunny, upper floor room in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility. Forced to share her room with new-arrival Marilyn (Kathy Manfre), the cantankerous Abby (Lisa Bostnar) is left with no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden. As heartfelt as it is deliciously inappropriate, the Players is thrilled to present the New Hampshire premiere of this play.

"A show to treasure. David Lindsay-Abaire's ripping Ripcord is a deeply satisfying and vastly entertaining story of two women thrown together by a comic cosmic force possessed of a wicked sense of humor..." Deadline

Ripcord will play February 15-25 and is rated PG-13. Performances are Thursday - Saturday at 7:30pm with 2pm matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday. Single tickets are $39 and 6-ticket flex passes are also available.
