Brownwater Productions Presents DEATH AND THE MAIDEN, Now thru 5/24

On May 8th, Brownwater Productions will take the stage with Ariel Dorfman's award winning thriller "Death in the Maiden" at the Players' Ring, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth NH. "Death in the Maiden" runs from today, May 8th through May 24th with shows on Fridays and Saturday at 8 pm, Sundays May 10th and 17th at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 24th at 3 pm. Before her capture in 1976, human rights activist Paulina Salas raged against her country's brutally oppressive dictatorship and helped countless refugees escape persecution. After her release, she married aspiring political idealist Gerardo Escobar and spent the next 15 years living in relative solitude, battling the physical and psychological scars left by her abductors. Until one night, for no particular reason, the architect of her past horror walked through her front door.

Or did he? The voice sounds the same. Mannerisms. The feel of his skin. But how can Paulina be sure, having never seen his face until now?
