The Plus series of Dutch Wind Ensemble is a success. In it the finest masterpieces are scrutinized. The artistic director and oboist Bart Schneemann tells the story behind the notes to life on the basis of the projected script. The Davidsbündlertänze is one of Schumann's most personal compositions. Schumann was not only active as a composer, but also positioned itself as one of the most influential music critics of his time. He published essays under the pseudonyms Florestan and Eusebius. Two characters that he presented as key figures in a fictional society: the Davidsbündler, which went to war against the flattening in the art.
