Tuesday, May 7 East Side Storytellin': Craig Havighurst and Don Gallardo & How Far West

7:00 p.m. Fat Bottom Brewing Co. FREE.

East Side Story partners with Fat Bottom Brewing Co. and WAMB 1200 AM/ 99.3 FM radio to present East Side Storytellin'-an evening of book readings, musical performances, and author/musician interviews designed to elaborate on the stories behind these creative processes. East Side Storytellin' is held at Fat Bottom Brewing Co. (900 Main Street) in East Nashville, the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Chuck Beard, owner of East Side Story, host the event which is recorded by WAMB to air on the radio station the following Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Recordings of the show may also be found on East Side Story's website www.eastsidestorytn.com. This event is FREE and first come, first served.

Author and Co-Host of Music City Roots Craig Havighurst will read from his book Air Castle of the South: WSM and the Making of Music City followed by a musical performance by Don Gallardo & How Far West.

Saturday, May 11th East Side Storytellin': Metro Arts' Poetry in Motion and Southern Word

6-9pm and FREE to atttend (1108 Woodland Street)

In conjunction with the Second Saturday @ East Nashville art crawl, East Side Story has partnered with Metro Arts and Southern Word to present East Side Storytellin' on May 11, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Located at the Idea Hatchery at 1108 Woodland Street, this free, family-friendly, public event will feature short story readings, live poetry by the winners of Metro Arts' 2013 Poetry in Motion contest, special appearances from Southern Word youth, food trucks and music by DJ VU.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy performances on the lawn.

Tuesday, May 21 East Side Storytellin': Todd Dills and MIke Willis

Author Todd Dills will be reading from a selection of original, published works followed by a musical performance by MIke Willis and friends.

Thursday, May 23 Voices : A reading of letters from The Brehman Collection
with a special performance by Matthew Marcum of Sideshow fringe music from The Gypsy Hombres
and an exhibition of new work by Ed Nash

Presented by The Brehman Collection in collaboration with Chuck Beard of East Side Story, the event will take place at Ed Nash Art Studio, American Business Park, Unit 414, West Kirkland Avenue, Nashville, TN 37216. Doors open at 7pm. Free Event.

Presented by The Brehman Collection in collaboration with Chuck Beard of East Side Story. Doors Open at 7pm with music from The Gypsy Hombres followed by a new performance piece by Matthew Marcum of Sideshow Fringe. The reading of the letters includes a 'Guest Letter' from the collection of Paul Polycarpou. Other 'Readers' include:

There will also be an exhibition of new work by Ed Nash.
