Film Noir Spoof THE 39 STEPS to Play Centaur Theatre

For its second offering of the season, Centaur Theatre brings another blockbuster to the stage. The 39 Steps, by British actor, comedian and playwright, Patrick Barlow, (Absolutely Fabulous, Bridget Jones's Diary, Shakespeare in Love) is an uproarious send-up of Alfred Hitchcock's film noire adaptation of the spy thriller, written by UK novelist, John Buchan. Eda Holmes directs the rollicking ride, her first turn at bat as Centaur's new Artistic and Executive Director.

Every year Infinith tre proudly presents Qu bec's newest discoveries in The Pipeline, an annual series of free public play readings where the audience takes centre stage, offering valuable feedback that furthers script development and helps choose future seasons. Montreal Symphony Orchestra to Open 2018 Salzburg Festival With Krzysztof Penderecki's ST. LUKE PASSION

The Salzburg Festival has invited the Orchestre symphonique de Montr al / Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) and Kent Nagano to perform the opening concert of the 2018 Festival. On July 20, 2018, at the Festival's Felsenreitschule, OSM will perform Krzysztof Penderecki's epic St Luke Passion, for chorus, soloists and orchestra. As part of the composer's 85th birthday celebrations, this concert will also be performed in the context of the Ouverture spirituelle series dedicated to sacred music and religiously inspired works.
