Tony Award Winning RENT Star, Wilson Jermaine Heredia to Teach Exclusive Masterclass in Montreal 5/20

In The Wings Promotions is proud to be bringing Tony Award winning, original RENT star, WILSON Jermaine Heredia to teach an exclusive masterclasses in Montreal on May 20, 2017.

RENT'S Tony Award/Drama Desk Award winning original Angel, WILSON Jermaine Heredia will hold an exclusive masterclass in Montreal for local performers. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to work on musical theatre or pop selections, monologues or scene work. Enrollment in the masterclass is extremely limited and open to participants who will each have one-on-one time with Wilson, as well as auditors who can observe and learn from the audience. The masterclass will conclude with a Q & A with Wilson and time to grab a selfie or autograph.

The masterclass will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. To participate, the fee is $195 and to audit the class, the fee is $75.

ABOUT WILSON Jermaine Heredia

Wilson Jermaine Heredia was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Dominican parents. He was looking at a career in medicine but a regional play of Taming Of The Shrew convinced him that theater and the arts were in his future. Since then he performed as a back up dancer and choreographer for local pop acts and then graduated to lead singer in alternative rock bands in Hunter College where he attended the Film and Theatre program. His theater credits include: The New Americans by Elizabeth Swados, Popolvuh by Ralph Lee, La Cage Aux Folles, and most notably RENT for which he received the 1996 Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and an Olivier nomination for the British production. He then reprised the role of Angel in the 2005 film, RENT, directed by Chris Columbus.

Additional film credits include: Flawless by Joel Schumacher, acting opposite Robert DeNiro and Phillip Seymor Hoffman, Red Butterfly by Jon Alston, Girl From the Naked Eye by David Ren, and most recently The Rainbow Bridge Motel by Scott Rubin. TV credits include: Law & Order: SVU, Medium, Without a Trace, and most recently Banshee on Cinemax.

In The Wings Promotions was founded by Noelle Hannibal in 2011 and provides public relations for theatre companies and events in and around Montreal. ITW also actively contributes to the Montreal theatre community by producing special theatrical events along with a masterclass series. Recent masterclasses include Derek Klena, Michael Cerveris, Adam Pascal, HAMILTON star Andrew Chappelle, Kyle Dean Massey, Seth Rudetsky and Natalie Weiss.
