One of the world's most beloved musicals lands on the Stratford stage when the festival's new season opens in April. Watch the video to hear Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino look ahead to FIDDLER ON THE ROOF helmed and choreographed by Donna Feore, now in her 19th season at the festival.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF plays April 23 thru October 20 at the Festival Theatre. The show will hold its official opening on May 28.

This affectionately humorous portrait of life in a Jewish village in Tsarist Russia centres on Tevye, a milkman-philosopher who finds his values challenged by his daughters' insistence on following their hearts rather than the dictates of tradition. Meanwhile, more sinister changes are on the horizon - ones that threaten the community's very existence.
