Walking Shadow Theatre Company Presents DRAKUL 2/11-26

By:

On February 11th, Walking Shadow opens DRAKUL - a new adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic story of fear, deceit, seduction and love. DRAKUL, written and directed by John Heimbuch will run February 11 - 26, 2011.

Under the electric lights of London, Mina is enamored of a handsome young solicitor. But when Jonathan disappears on a business trip and Mina is approached by an alluring foreign prince, a shadow falls over their lives. Now, seven years since the defeat of the vampire, the wounds of betrayal remain... until their private journals are published under the pseudonym "Bram Stoker" and they must either face the past or be destroyed by it.

The production will feature Kelly Bancroft, Joanna Harmon, Philip D. Henry, Erik Hoover, Sam Landman, Ian Miller, Melissa Anne Murphy, Jennifer Probst, Keith Prusak, Alan Sorenson, & Wade Vaughn, with Charles Hubbell as Prince Vlad Drakul

The creative team includes Justin Alexander, Tim Cameron, Brian Hesser, Sarah Holmberg, Logan Jambik, Steve Kath, Kristin Larsen, Maya LeBeau, Bronwen Marshall-Bass, David Pisa, Amy Rummenie, & Tracy Vacura.

All performances will take place at The Red Eye Theater at 15 W. 14th St, Minneapolis.

Walking Shadow received some lovely End-of-Year* acclaim for our production of THE TRANSDIMENSIONAL COURIER'S UNION, including an Honorable Mention from T.C. Daily Planet, being called a Production That Makes a Difference by the Pioneer Press, a fantastic review on MinnesotaPlaylist, and this brilliant quote from Metro Magazine:

"Walking Shadow followed up on the 2009 sci-fi mind bomb ROBOTS VS. FAKE ROBOTS with an original script by John Heimbuch. The premise was simple enough: a hand-held time-travel device hits the market, becomes as ubiquitous as the iPod, and proceeds to make an absolute hash of anything we currently understand as a coherent timeline. If the premise thrilled the inner geek, the reality went miles beyond: a great cast, tight execution, with genuine thrills and roller-coaster momentum. On any short list for the best local show in the last five years."
