Theatre in the Round Presents ICE GLEN, 3/16-4/7
Theatre in the Round Players presents the area premiere of ICE GLEN by Joan Ackermann March 16 - April 7, 2012.
Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) continues its 60th Anniversary Season as the longest-running theatre in Minneapolis with the area premiere of ICE GLEN in weekend performances March 16 through April 7.
In the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts in 1919, Sarah Harding lives in an idyllic obscurity, surrounded by a warm circle of quietly eccentric friends. She may be America's greatest poet, but keeps her writings private...until her neighbor, a famous novelist, passes her work on. Now a Boston editor has arrived wanting to bring her the fame and fortune she's never sought -- and everyone gets caught in their crossfire in the area premiere of this touching period comedy.
Lynn Musgrave directs a 6-member cast featuring Tena May Gallivan as Sarah Harding and John Adler as editor Peter Woodburn. Sets are designed by Michael Hoover, costumes by Dwight Larsen, and lighting by Chad Van Kekerix.
An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, March 25th.
Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
