THE GALA One-Of-A-Kind Tribute Performance Celebrates 50 Years of Chanhassen Dinner Theatres ImageChanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) will present a one-of-a kind, specially created musical production to celebrate 50 years of Chanhassen Dinner Theatres on Monday evening, August 13. Tickets for this benefit performance are now on sale by going to ChanhassenDT.com.

Fans of Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will want to be part of this celebratory performance with a reunion cast who will sing and dance their way through iconic music, memories, and story-telling, paying tribute to CDT's amazing legacy. Written and directed by Resident Artistic Director, Michael Brindisi and choreographed by Tamara Kangas Erickson, the musical program is sure to provide fans with plenty of laughter and maybe even a few happy tears. Brindisi said, "Fifty years is an incredible milestone, we can't cover it all but we can promise it will be a nostalgic sampling that our audiences will really love. It celebrates who we are."

A Minnesota treasure, CDT remains one of a handful of professional dinner theatres in existence in the United States. In addition, CDT is the largest privately-owned restaurant in the State of Minnesota and one of Minnesota's premier musical theatre companies and tourist attractions.

Since 1968, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has entertained nearly 12.5 million guests and self-produced 236 theatrical productions on its multiple stages. Brindisi continued, "We know that many of our guests have visited us to mark their own milestones and we're humbled to be part of making those memories for them. This marvelous place, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, is a gift to us and our greatest desire is to keep it going for everyone who loves it as much as we do. It's such a privilege."

Tickets are now on sale for The Gala presented on the Main Stage at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres on Monday evening, August 13. Proceeds from The Gala will benefit the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres/University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Theatre Alliance and scholarship program. All tickets are $100.
