Ordway Circle of Stars Presents the Glass Slipper Ball 12/11

By: Nov. 16, 2011

The fairy tale begins on Sunday, December 11 as Ordway Circle of Stars (OCOS) presents the Glass Slipper Ball. This annual gala offers a magical evening of exquisite food, live auction bidding, a private dress rehearsal of the Ordway's production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," which is onstage at the Ordway from December 13, 2011 - January 1, 2012, and a post-show dessert and dance party with the cast.

Guests to the Glass Slipper Ball are invited to slip on their royal attire for an enchanted experience, one that helps support the Ordway's education programming, making it possible for students to enjoy the Ordway's world-class performances and community engagement events.
Always one of the prized moments of the gala, this year's auction reaches new heights with the biggest item to date in its history: a children's playhouse designed with inspiration by Cinderella's castle.

This one-of-a-kind children's playhouse replicated from the famous Cinderella's castle will be available at this year's OCOS gala as an exclusive auction item. This distinctive castle stands 16-feet tall and 11-feet wide and boasts four towers complete with turrets, a play fireplace, 24 windows and a royal balcony.

For the first time, the gala will feature online auction bidding from 12 p.m. on December 1 through 12 p.m. on December 9. Items will be available for online preview and select items, including the castle, will be available for online bidding. For more information, visit the live auction page at www.biddingforgood.com/ordwaygala. All items will be available for bidding during the gala itself.

The Playhouse has been graciously donated by HGA Architects and Engineers, McGough, Nelson Tietz & Hoye, Schuler Shook, Akustiks, HUNT Electric, Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, Nakasone, Custom Drywall and Metro Manufacturing.
