The tournament has begun! As a resident company of ARTshare at the Southern Theater, we're writing with some fun news! The Southern is the first and only performance or performing arts group to be included in the Brackets For Good giving event. With your support, ARTshare has the chance of winning $10,000. This benefits Live Action Set as well as over 25 other Twin Cities performance companies. The goal is to receive 300 donations of least $10 each by Friday March 4th at 8p to advance us to the next bracket!

Why give?

1) Through the ARTshare program, we have a cooperative, supportive community with which we can try experimental and creative works. This year, over 25 companies will be creating over 200 wonderful nights of art in 2016 - including Live Action Set!

2) We call it home. The Southern Theater is a historical venue with unrivaled character. It's a beautiful, intimate space to see music, performance, dance and more.

3) When you put AMAZING work in an AMAZING space (combined with an amazing audience) - you get something really, really special. This is the kind of art experience that makes the world a better place to live.

This series of three, independent but progressive, 4-day workshops focuses on play and experimentation within the genre of interactive and immersive performance and are applicable to all performance genres. Acquire improvisation skills that go beyond the standard, and delve deeper into the actor-audience relationship. How can an audience member become central to the development of theatrical action? Exploring this question and others, we will play on a spectrum of verbal and non-verbal styles. MORE DETAILS HERE.

*A collaboration between Live Action Set and Dangerous Productions

The entire series consists of three learning "modules", each with a different focus: NARRATIVE, MOVEMENT, SITE-SPECIFIC.

Each module begins with a "drop in" style fundamentals class, accessible to anyone. The following 2 classes will continue the work and develop a short piece. On the final day of each module, audience is invited to a workshop-presentation.

PRICING:
Fundamentals class: $30 each (applied to entire module if participant decides to continue on)
One module: $100
Two Modules: $180
All three: $240
