Minnesota Dance Theatre & the Dance Institute requests your support to provide financial aid for our students, to offer competitive compensation to our dancers, and to bring the world's best choreographers to our community to make new original dances for our dancers and for you.

Our mission is to create masterful and provocative dance performances which entertain and inspire audiences, and foster talent by providing a comprehensive classical and contemporary training curriculum focused on the technical and artistic demands of a professional dance career.

Minnesota Dance Theatre & the Dance Institute operates with the following four goals:
1. To be a company representing the best dancers internationally, in whom versatility is expected and ballet's traditional boundaries are exceeded, enabling performance of dynamic repertory spanning diverse genres.
2. To attract and work in partnership with acclaimed choreographers - local, national and international - with the freedom, time and resources to create depth and breadth of repertory.
3. To offer an interdisciplinary school with superlative classical and contemporary training, where versatility is the goal and an expanded curriculum is in place which opens possibilities to its students in and beyond careers in professional dance.
4. To make our performances and educational opportunities accessible to widely diverse communities, through economic, informational and welcoming strategies.
