Live Action Set, Dangerous Productions and The Soap Factory are excited to announce the reimagining of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT; 2014's sellout Fringe Festival hit - now extended through May 3rd by popular demand!

Over 30 of the most captivating performers in the Twin Cities have been assembled under the creative direction of Noah Bremer, Tyler Olsen and Joanna Harmon to bring the characters, stories and psychological madness of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT to life. Built over the entire span of The Soap Factory's 15,000 square foot basement and inspired by the post-industrial decay of this notorious space, Erica Zaffarano and some of the most talented visual artists around created an all-encompassing subterranean city fit for Dostoevsky's world. Composer Michael Croswell's original soundtrack, Tony Biele and Ian Knodel's lighting design, along with custom smells by Olfactory Award-nominated St. Croix Sensory add a 4th dimension that weaves through the city, creating a thrilling and completely immersive experience.

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT blends physical theater, dance and expertly crafted sets that envelop the audience in an expansive yet intricate world. As the performance unfolds, over a dozen storylines develop simultaneously. Each member of the audience is implicated in the action, chooses which characters to follow and creates their own unique journey. Inspired by the New York theatrical sensation Sleep No More, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT also requires the audience to don a disturbing mask, allowing them to act as voyeur or participant.

Come early and enjoy a cup of tea in the CRIME AND PUNISHMENT Tea Room, courtesy of the Tea Source. From there, take a chance and spend an hour experiencing the show alongside a single character, or meet and explore the other characters as their storylines intersect. Or, spend time looking for "Easter Eggs"; special environments and objects that unlock an experience tailored especially to you.

There are three ticket levels. Each level grants a varying degree of contact from characters, access to easter eggs, and more elaborate opportunities to experience during the performance. Click on this link for more information on what each ticket level means.
