On October 4, 2012, after 2 years of shows, Four Humors says goodbye to its monthly cabaret in downtown Minneapolis. The night will feature special guests, original sketches, musical guest John Up Front and post-show after party with a full wine and beer bar.

When Four Humors started The Firsty Thursday Show 2 years ago, it didn't quite know what to expect. One of The company’s mottos has always been to do work that not only suprises audiences, but themselves as well. Four Humors had never produced a sketch comedy show before as part of its season and they were excited for the chance to expand their artistic horizons. They’ve had a blast creating and curating the past 23 shows and working with the numerous, talented guest artists that have shared our stage, but have decided that the time has come to say goodbye to this chapter in Four Humors history. While Four Humors grows as a company and its members continually strives to stretch themselves as artists, they are excited to announce this celebration of the past as they look forward to an exciting future.

"Ending The Firsty Thursday Show is a huge step for the growth of Four Humors," says Artistic Director Jason Ballweber. "We are going to take what we learned about creating in an environment that is much more social than a traditional theater space and apply it to the shows in our season."

Ending in its 24th month, The Firsty Thursday Show has wowed audiences and performers alike in its vision and high-caliber performance.Firsty Thursday veterans include performance groups Live Action Set, Mixed Precipitation and HUGE Improv; performance artists Andrea Leap, Dario Tangelson, Paige Collette and Andrea Noel; dancers Erin Sheppard and Amelia English; spoken word artists Shane Hawley, Dylan Garity, Michael Lee and Sam Cook; and musical groups Four Pints Shy, The Poor Nobodies, Tree Party and I Like You. Local theater artist and blogger Damon Runnals says, “Major kudos to Four Humors for putting together a really fun evening . . . a great way to spend the first Thursday of every month.”
