The SpotLight Cabaret Series is a new education initiative of Hennepin Theatre Trust designed to give students creative control over all aspects of the production, from directing and producing, to performing and marketing.

Rhythmic Circus: Feet Don't Fail Me Now

The Minneapolis Star Tribune said Minneapolis' own Rhythmic Circus "simply jam with plenty of style, athleticism and charm", and hailed the show was "flat out amazing". City Pages named their show, "Feet Don't Fail Me Now," as the Best Dance Performance of the Past 12 Months 2011, and described the show as "a raucous and fun-filled evening from a troupe that can boogie with the best of 'em." The group is celebrating the start of a new tour and a CD release.

Hennepin Theatre Trust invites the public to take a peek into the historic playhouses of the Hennepin Theatre District.
Each walking tour visits one playhouse which may include the State, Orpheum or Pantages Theatre providing access to the theatres' interiors as well as details and a fascinating historical perspective that the general public seldom gets while attending a regular event. The tours are designed to give theatre patrons, historians, students or anyone else a personal introduction to these historic gems. Guides spotlight architectural, historic and fun facts about these landmarks, providing an insider's view to these majestic venues. Each tour lasts approximately one hour.

Originally from California, Isaak began performing after college with the band Silvertone and released a self-titled album in 1986. When the single "Wicked Game," from his third album "Heart Shaped World," was featured in David Lynch's 1990 movie "Wild at Heart," it reached the Top Ten on the Billboard charts. Another significant hit, "Somebody's Crying," from 1995's "Forever Blue," resulted in both the single and album being nominated for Grammy Awards.
