Chanhassen Dinner Theatres premieres a new concert offering featuring a national act, Billy McGuigan and the Rave On Band, in the ultimate tribute to Buddy Holly with RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience. The Twin Cities' premiere concert event, featured one-time only this year, plays on The Fireside stage for a three-night engagement tonight, September 26, Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28.

A reinvented rockin' tribute, RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience is a high-energy concert event that will make audiences stand up, sing along, rock out, and reminisce to the classic hits of a young singer who defined the beginnings of rock 'n' roll.

A Twin Cities' debut, RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience is performed by America's premier Buddy Holly interpreter, Billy McGuigan. Backed by the rock star-worthy Rave On Band, McGuigan has performed coast-to-coast in over 1,500 performances of RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience since first portraying Buddy Holly. Billy McGuigan's energetic talent, remarkable musicianship, realism and sincerity have gained national attention by breathing new life into the music of Buddy Holly. Long-time Buddy Holly fans or those who love high-energy rock 'n' roll, will enjoy Billy McGuigan's Buddy Holly in this tribute concert rock extravaganza.

RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience is a tribute to the acclaimed rockabilly pioneer credited with strongly influencing the early styles of rock 'n' roll. Buddy Holly's music also helped bridge the racial divide of music during 1950's America. Although a tragic plane crash abruptly ended his music career all too soon, Buddy Holly's upbeat music continued to inspire and ignite rock musicians of then and now. One of the first singers of his time to write, produce, and perform his own songs, Buddy Holly has inspired many popular musicians including: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and Minnesota's native son Bob Dylan, to name a few.

Notable hits include: "Peggy Sue," "That'll Be the Day," "Oh Boy," "True Love Ways," "It's So Easy," "Rave On" and many more. As a rockin' twist, Billy McGuigan's "Buddy" will pay homage to the classic rock era by performing hits of fellow rockers Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Big Bopper, Chuck Berry, and Ritchie Valens.

RAVE ON! - The Buddy Holly Experience tickets are $40 per person. A dinner option is available for just $15 per person. Performance time is 8pm. Bar offerings available at additional cost in the theatre, in the Hogarth Lounge or in the new Brindisi's PUB located next to the theatre. The patio will also be open following the performance for drinks and appetizers available at additional cost.
