First Stage's 2011 Wine Dinner, featuring the wines, culture and cuisine of Argentina, will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. at Westmoor Country Club located at 400 South Moorland Road in Brookfield. The evening will begin with an extensive tasting of wines from around the world and silent auction followed by a 5-course gourmet meal paired with wines by Vina Cobos Felino. The menu highlights the finest Argentine cuisine including such items as Seared Scallop Salad, Montrachet Cheese Ravioli with Lobster Medallions, Espresso Chili Rubbed Duck Breast and Dulce De Leche.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by guitarist Peter Baime and Bailando Latin Dance Company. Dancers Nena Souvannarath, Ed Salazar, Melanie Wehr and Arturo De La Mesa will perform authentic Argentine tango.
