Peck School of the Arts to Host Garth Fagan in 'Summerdances' et al, 6/2010

The University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts will be involved in various musical and artistic events in May and June.

The 12th Wisconsin Triennial opens May 21 at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA), and features work from four Peck School of the Arts faculty members - Bruce Charlesworth, assistant professor of film; Nicholas Frank, INOVA curator; Karen Gunderman, professor of art; and Marcelino Stuhmer, assistant professor of art - and three Peck School alums - Carol Emmons, BFA; Linda Wervey Vitamvas, BFA; and John Riepenhoff, BFA. On May 23 at 3:30pm, the Master Singers of Milwaukee will perform at the Peck School.

In June, the Peck School will host the Summer Evenings of Music Festival with the Fine Arts Quartet on June 6, 13, 20, and 27.  The school will also host 'Summerdances:Uncovered' from June 3 to 5 with Garth Fagan, the Tony Award-winning choreographer of The Lion King.
