The Marcus Center Board of Directors held its 41st Annual Meeting on April 12, 2011 in the Marcus Center's Anello Atrium. At the meeting officials reflected on 41 years of enriching the community, new collaborations, continued efforts in diverse programming, and reported that the Marcus Center, once again, achieved a solid financial performance in the year 2010.
The total consolidated income was $9,489,496 with attendance of 522,726. The Milwaukee County support of $1,280,000 supported 13% of the Marcus Center consolidated budget. Ticket sales brought in 27% of the total revenue and Service Reimbursements made up 17% of the generated revenue. The largest expense in the consolidated expenses for 2010 was in Personnel Services at 49%. The largest portion of all non-personnel-related expenses was for Facility Maintenance at 8%. The Marcus Center's operating budget, a subset of the consolidated budget, was balanced for the 41st year in a row.The Marcus Center was pleased to announce the election of the following new Board members: Cecelia Gore, Brewers Community Foundation, three year term, Juan Carrasquillo, We Energies, three year term, Michael Stull, Manpower Group, three year term and Tom Adams, Time Warner Cable, three year term. Board members, Jacqueline Herd-Barber, Brenda Skelton and Joseph Tucker will also be returning for additional three-year terms.Videos
