Carsie Blanton, Singer/Songwriter/Activist, is kicking off her US Tour in Saugatuck, Michigan on May 12, 2026 with a benefit concert for Todos Bienvenidos, the organization helping western Michigan families affected by ICE! This event is presented by South Haven Indivisible in cooperation with Indivisible chapters in Saugatuck Douglas, Paw Paw, Holland/Zeeland, SWMI (St. Joseph) and with Todos Bienvenidos and the South Haven LGBTQ+ Advocacy Group.
Carsie is appearing with special guests Grupo Entrega Total & a musical welcome by Persisterhood on Tuesday May 12, 2026, 7:30-9:00 pm (doors open 6:30 pm) at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St, Saugatuck, MI 49453. Carsie is known for her intimate, politically charged concerts that blend folk, jazz, and cabaret-style songwriting. Her live shows often focus on themes of "love and rage," anti-fascism, and community care, with recent performances featuring protest songs targeting billionaires and social inequality, often encouraging audience singalongs.
Members of the South Haven Indivisible Core Council were inspired to reach out and ask Carsie to do a benefit concert after listening to her new release, Little Flame, a song about hope and the enduring fight for justice. “It was a long shot,” says Core Council Member Cindy Ariel, “But I asked if there was any way she could fit us in for a fundraiser for the local organization helping local farm workers dealing with ICE. Carsie graciously agreed to come out of her way the day before her Midwest tour officially begins in Evanston, IL to donate her time to play a Benefit in our area.”
The importance of this event was emphasized by David Moore, DO, a leader of Todos Bienvenidos. “The financial support of this community event will enhance our ability to keep neighbors affected by ICE in their homes, with heat and lights on, and help to provide short term solutions to the many curve balls being thrown their way,” states Moore. “Because they cannot often say thank you openly, I want to express their and our deep appreciation for Carsie Blanton’s support and the support of everyone making donations and buying tickets for this event. The concern it conveys means the world."
And Carsie Blanton emphasized the importance of supporting organizations like Todos Bienvendidos. “Solidarity means our neighbors' safety and health is tied up with our own!,” she says. “I'm honored to sing with the people doing this important work. ICE out of everywhere.”
