Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, starts the 2012-2013 with boom by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. Tickets for this epic and intimate comedy go on sale Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

boom begins with five Preview performances starting Thursday, September 20. During the first four Previews audience members will have the opportunity to take part in the process of creating a show by participating in a talkback session with the director following each performance. Something is about to explode. A grad student's online personal ad lures a mysterious journalism student to his subterranean research lab for a "casual encounter", but there's nothing casual about this particular evening! She discovers that he actually fears the end of the world is at hand . . . and from there things get weird! Will they survive? Will their casual encounter lead to another big bang? What's going on in the fishbowl? What's our place in the universe? And who is that woman playing the timpani? This epic and intimate comedy spans billions of years and will keep you laughing 'til the unexpected end. Contains mature language and themes.

The cast of boom consists of Aral Gribble (Red, White and Tuna, Dead Man's Shoes), Sarab Kamoo (Panache) and Alissa Nordmoe. The Director is Williamston Theatre's Artistic Director, Tony Caselli (The Usual: A Musical Love Story, This Wonderful Life). The production team includes Set Design by Janine Woods Thoma (Red, White and Tuna, It Came From Mars), Lighting Design by Daniel C. Walker (Dead Man's Shoes, Greater Tuna), Costume Design by Amber Marissa Cook (Dead Man's Shoes, Home: Voices From Families of the Midwest), Sound Design by Alex Gay and Prop Design by Bruce Bennett. The Stage Manager is Stefanie Din.
