Who Wants Cake? is changing its current scheduling for this June's production of Harry Gibson's stage adaptation of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting. Trainspotting will continue its four-week run at Ferndale's The Ringwald Theatre through June 22. However, starting June 12, performance times on Fridays and Saturdays will change to 8PM. Also, ticket prices will change to $20 for the Friday/Saturday 8PM slot. There will still be two $10 8PM performances on June 15 and 22.

Irvine Welsh's novel, Trainspotting, exploded onto the scene in 1993, stunning audiences with its bleak and darkly humorous depiction of the decaying friendships of a bunch of no-hopers, heroin addicts, and petty criminals attempting to escape the boredom of their lives. Harry Gibson's theatrical adaptation debuted in 1994 to great acclaim before Danny Boyle's 1996 film version made Trainspotting a cultural landmark. The story follows Renton, Sick Boy, Tommy, and Begbie as they embark on an horrific journey to the heart of a world peopled by psychos, junkies, and drunk Scottish fathers.

Tickets for Trainspotting are $10 for Monday shows (June 15 & 22) and late night performances (June 5 and 6). Tickets for the 8PM performances on Fridays and Saturdays are $20.

Reservations may be made by phone at 248-545-5545 or online at www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com. The box office opens 45 minutes before performances.
